BRIEF The transformation of a historic Paddington property into Oxford House, a 55-room lifestyle hotel in Sydney’s east. The hotel brings together guestrooms, hospitality spaces and a secluded pool courtyard to create an urban retreat within the energy of Oxford Street.

CONCEPT Drawing inspiration from the understated modernism of Palm Springs, the interiors combine warm, muted tones, rich textures and natural light with a distinctly Sydney sensibility. A considered art direction and curated detailing reinforce the hotel’s relaxed yet refined identity.

CHALLENGES Establishing a cohesive identity across guestrooms and varied public spaces while retaining a sense of individuality and discovery throughout the hotel. Balancing the building’s urban context with the ambition to create an intimate, escapist guest experience.
