BRIEF A lakeside residential development in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, conceived around efficient prefabricated construction. Cross-laminated timber (CLT) and prefabricated bathroom pods enabled the apartments to be assembled on-site within a matter of weeks.

CONCEPT A contemporary alpine architecture grounded in its natural setting, with the residences oriented to maximise uninterrupted views across Lake Jindabyne and the surrounding landscape. Materiality and construction methodology were considered together to create a warm, efficient and environmentally conscious development.

CHALLENGES Integrating prefabricated construction systems without compromising spatial quality or architectural intent. The design required close coordination between structure, services and prefabricated elements while responding to the constraints of a regional site.
