BRIEF The transformation of an iconic Inner West pub into a vibrant hospitality and live music venue. The acquisition of the neighbouring property allowed the original pub to expand, creating a series of interconnected spaces including a lounge, live music stage, courtyard bar and new culinary offering.

CONCEPT The interiors were conceived to feel as though they had evolved organically over time rather than being newly designed. A layered, eclectic material palette and carefully curated collection of vintage FF&E, hand-sourced from across Australia, bring character, familiarity and a sense of history to the venue.

CHALLENGES Creating a cohesive interior across two existing commercial buildings while retaining the authenticity and character of the original pub. The project required navigating complex planning and regulatory constraints associated with adjoining the two properties, while relocating the kitchen into the neighbouring building to unlock the existing footprint for live music, social spaces and a more diverse hospitality experience.
