BRIEF A concept proposal for a new luxury hospitality and residential destination in Nosara, Costa Rica. Conceived as a village immersed within the tropical landscape, the masterplan brings together hotel and residential accommodation, restaurants, beach club, retail, wellness and community spaces, with privacy, ocean views and connection to nature central to the experience.

CONCEPT The interiors explore a new expression of Costa Rican luxury: raw, tactile and deeply connected to place. Natural and unfinished materials form a quiet foundation, layered with local craft, colour and expressive FF&E to bring vibrancy and character. The concept is structured around tactility, symbolism, ritual and connection, drawing subtly on Chorotega motifs and local traditions to create spaces that encourage contemplation, community and a connection to the surrounding environment.

CHALLENGES Coordinating a diverse mix of hospitality and residential typologies while maintaining a consistent design language across the development. Managing an evolving, multi-year specification process required adapting to changing budgets and the realities of local sourcing, while working closely with Costa Rican architects and consultants to translate the creative direction within local planning, technical and construction requirements.
