BRIEF The transformation of two existing apartments into a dual-living family residence overlooking Bondi Beach. Designed for parents and their adult daughter, the apartments function independently while concealed sliding doors allow them to seamlessly connect as one home.

CONCEPT Wellness sits at the centre of the design, with sustainable materials, considered detailing and adaptable spaces creating a calm coastal sanctuary. Each apartment has its own distinct aesthetic while maintaining a cohesive architectural language across the residence.

CHALLENGES Creating two homes with individual identities while ensuring they could operate convincingly as a single residence. The adaptable layout required careful planning of shared and private spaces to accommodate the family’s changing lifestyle over time.
